Why are you running for this position?

I want to do something for the BME students and I thought this will be the best position for me. Also this will be my last academic year as an undergraduate and my last opportunity to stand for a position in the BMES.

If elected, what goals would you strive to achieve to better the club? How would you accomplish these goals?

• I would like to encourage some senior BME students to be mentors for the sophomore and junior year classes and have help sessions for BME students.
• A better communication environment between the seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshman students so that the juniors can get better guidance in terms of academics, research opportunities, books etc from their seniors.
• I would also like to encourage students to come forward and participate in co-curricular, volunteer and leadership activities. I think undergraduate level is the best stage for the young engineers to gain the much needed confidence in themselves, learn public speaking skills, start getting involved with the society and learn to fulfil their responsibilities.
• I will try to have some social events for students and faculty members where they can meet in a casual environment and connect with each other. I will also try along with my team to keep track of the Upcoming events and inform the students as well as encourage them to participate in them.

Why do you think you are the best candidate for this position?

• Because I can handle my responsibilities along with academics equally well.
