Why are you running for this position?

I’ve attended almost every BME meeting so far. (Unfortunately I couldn’t make it for the Christmas party to hear Eddie play his accordion :(.) The next reason is because Eddie suggested the idea to me (which makes me wonder how many people are running for this position). Thirdly, although I don’t think I would be the best in terms of leadership material, I do think I would be good for keeping track of records and whatnot. Fourthly, I won’t be a sore loser if I don’t get the position.

If elected, what goals would you strive to achieve to better the club? How would you accomplish these goals?

• Depending on how many more people decide to join the club, I would suggest that we move to a slightly larger meeting room, as it does tend to get terribly crowded. I would make this suggestion and see if others think this is a good idea. If the club decides a bigger room would be better, I confess I would have no idea who to talk to in order to make the necessary arrangements. At that point I would start asking questions from the faculty and see who could arrange the room change (probably Dr. Alfrey).
• On the website I would make a suggestion to the webmaster to include a list of duties each club position is responsible for (president, VP, etc.). That way each position looks important. Like vice president, I don’t think a lot of people think this job is important or know what the VP does.

Why do you think you are the best candidate for this position?

• I don’t think I am the best candidate for this position because I don’t know who else is running. But, I can say that I will do my best to fulfill my responsibilities.
