In 2004, Alternative Spring Break headed to Atlanta, GA from Sunday, March 14th through Thursday, March 18th. Participants spent their break building a reading loft for elementary school students and learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and issues of surrounding hunger and homelessness in America. In addition, students had the opportunity to explore Atlanta and its many attractions during their down time.
