Professor of Military Science, IUPUI

LTC MacDonald is a native of Rochester, NY.  He is a graduate from the University of Buffalo (B.A. Communications) and Franklin University (MBA).

Military Service: 

He entered activity as a Military Police Officer at Fort McClellan, AL at the Military Police Officer Basic Course (MPOBC) in November of 1992. 

He served in various command and staff positions throughout his career with:  92nd MP Battalion (Panama), TRADOC, 16th MP Brigade (ABN), 1/25 Infantry Brigade (Stryker), United States Army Europe, and the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT).

LTC MacDonald deployed for 12 months to Mosul Iraq with 1/25th IN Brigade as the Brigade Provost Marshal (PM) from September 2004 to September 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).

LTC MacDonald also deployed to Bagram Airbase as the Division Provost Marshal with the 101st Airborne (AASLT) Division from May 2010 to May 2011 in support of operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

LTC MacDonald is currently assigned as the Professor of Military Science (PMS) at IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN.

LTC MacDonald’s military awards and Decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge and the Combat Action Badge.

LTC MacDonald is married to the former Karie Missler from Bryan, Ohio and they have three boys:  Jonathan, Thomas and Christopher.
