Master Sergeant Heath J. Oncale graduated from Missouri Military Academy in May of 1988.  He entered the United States Army in November of 1989 where he attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training as a Fire Support Specialist at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.  His duty assignments include Fort Riley, Kansas serving with the 1st BN 5th FA 1st Infantry Division as a Platoon and Company Fire Support Sergeant; Schofield Barracks, Hawaii serving with the 7th BN 8th FA, 25th Infantry Division (Light) as a Platoon and Company Fire support Sergeant; Atlanta Recruiting Battalion, Kennesaw Georgia as a Field Recruiter; Fort Carson, Colorado first with 2nd Squadron 3rd ACR as the Squadron Fire Support NCO (FSNCO) and later as the Regimental Fire Support NCO (RFSNCO); Fort Stewart Georgia with the 2nd BN 306th FA (TS) as an Observer Controller ; Mosul, Iraq with Iraqi Assistance Group as a MITT Team NCOIC; Fort Stewart, Georgia with the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division first as the Brigade Fire Support Operations NCO and 1st BN 76th FA as the Bravo Battery First Sergeant.  He has deployed to Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom III, Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09 and Operation Iraqi Freedom 10-11 and New Dawn.

Master Sergeant Oncale’s military education includes: Primary Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Battle Staff Course, Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System Course.  Master Sergeant Oncale holds an Associate Degree in General Studies from Central Texas University and is currently working on a Bachelor Degree in Homeland Security from American Military University.

His Awards and Decorations include: Bronze Star (2 OLC), Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (7 OLC), Good Conduct Award (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal (BS), South East Asia Campaign Medal (3 BS), Iraqi Campaign Medal (5 BS), Global War on Terrorism Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, NCO Professional Development  Ribbon (Numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), Liberation of Kuwait Medal (SA), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Basic Recruiter Badge (2 GS) and Combat Action Badge.

He is married to the former Alicia Skinner of Flovilla, Georgia.  They have two children Heather-9 and Lacey- 2 and are expecting a new addition in December.
