INDIANA UNIVERSITY-PURDUE UNIVERSITY COLUMBUS (IUPUC) delivers IU and Purdue associate, bachelor's, and master's degree programs to meet the needs of south central Indiana. Applications are being accepted for a tenure-track faculty position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 2008. Division of Business faculty responsibilities include teaching in the Indiana University B.S. in Business and MBA degree programs. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Economics by August 1, 2008. All fields of specialization in economics will be considered. The successful candidate will be dedicated to teaching undergraduate and MBA level economics and statistics and show potential for scholarly research. As the only economist in the Division of Business, the candidate should have an appreciation for the business school curriculum outside of economics and have an appreciation for working with Business faculty in other disciplines. Responsibilities include teaching microeconomics, macroeconomics, and statistics; conducting and publishing quality scholarly research; and engaging in university service. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must. Preferences include experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate students; applied research and business experience; ability to bring the international dimension to content areas; civic engagement, grantsmanship, and/or administrative experience a plus.
