IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.
Fans pack "The Jungle" in IUPUI red spirit shirts.
IUPUI's campus colors come from the traditional colors of the two universities that form IUPUI - the IU red and the Purdue gold. Black and white are also mentioned in the IUPUI fight song, "Let's Go, Jags!". But black and white together in Indianapolis mean one thing — auto racing — so do yourself a favor and wear RED to show your IUPUI Jaguars spirit!
"Let's Go, Jags!" That's the name, the theme and the final rallying cry of the IUPUI fight song that has become an integral part of many IUPUI gatherings, including Jaguars' home basketball games.
Gary Fry of the Chicago-based Catfish Music team wrote the song, and the inaugural performance was by the IUPUI Pep Band prior to the 2000-2001 basketball season, under the
direction of David Copeland.
