IUPUI's University Library, central Indiana's premier academic research library, is the centerpiece of a multi-library system that includes facilities serving schools of Medicine, Law, Herron, Dentistry and more.
University Library was designed to be the technological foundation of academic life at IUPUI, connecting students, faculty, researchers and staff to electronic resources from across the campus and around the world.
University Library holds more than 650,000 volumes, has subscriptions to more than 4,000 periodicals and journals, and has a full range of reference materials. The five-story facility features more than 250 public computer stations and 1,700 study spaces, including group study rooms, general classrooms, meeting rooms and the 100-seat multimedia Lilly Auditorium.
Besides University Library, the IUPUI library system includes the Ruth Lilly Medical Library, the School of Dentistry Library, the Ruth Lilly Law Library, the Herron School of Art Library and the IUPU Columbus Library. University Library also is the home of the Joseph and Matthew Payton Philanthropic Studies Library and the University Library Special Collections & Archives.
