Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center
The Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Administration Medical Center is named for the former Indiana congressman who was a tireless champion of veterans' affairs. The hospital offers primary and specialized medical services, and also is a center of medical research by physicians and medical investigators from the IU School of Medicine. The VA hospital opened in 1952 and underwent major renovations in 1981 and 1994.
