The Regenstrief Center is the home of the Regenstrief Institute for Health Care, an internationally recognized medical research organization. The Institute uses the efforts of its world-renowned health services researchers to study the flow of medical information, to manage the nation's largest computerized medical records, system and to study how technology can and will make the management of health-care information more efficient.
Philanthropist Sam Regenstrief, an immigrant and Indianapolis resident who helped revolutionize America's home appliance industry, established the Regenstrief Institute in 1969.
