Lola L. Lohse
Lola L. Lohse (1916 - 1999) began her career with IU as a student enrolled at the Normal College of the American Gymnastic Union in Indianapolis in 1935, graduating from IU with a BS in physical education in 1939. She later earned an MS degree from IU. In 1955 she began teaching full-time at the Normal College, and in 1963 was appointed as Director of the School and Assistant Professor. In 1971 the Normal College became the IU School of Physical Education at IUPUI, and Mrs. Lohse was appointed the first Dean. She retired from the University in 1977.
