Cruise Line Management Course

The School of Physical Education and Tourism Management is offering a 3 credit course, which is offered on board a cruise ship. The course is open to Department of Tourism, Conventions, and Event Management students first, and if space is still available it will be open to IU system students from other departments.

This course is designed as an overview of the cruise line industry and the skills needed to begin a productive career in this specialized travel segment.

Academic and age requirements:

• Students must be in good academic standing – 2.5 GPA or better
• Students must have completed TCEM 119 – Travel Management prior to registering
• Students must be 21 years of age prior to departure (department and cruise line policy)
• Students must attend pre-departure meetings.
• No class standing or language level requirements
