Prizes will be awarded for photos in four Categories:
- Most Picturesque:
Photos depicting beautiful international settings
- IUPUI Students Abroad:
Photos depicting you or fellow students in a favorite experience abroad
- Most Unusual:
Photos depicting something unusual encountered while abroad
- Cultural Adventures:
Photos which illustrate some aspect of the host country culture
Prizes:
Last year’s prizes included amusement park tickets, a Colts pack, and tickets to museums and events. Prizes and awards will be presented at the Welcome Back Reception in September.
Contest Judges:
Faculty and Staff at IUPUI will judge the photos.

Study Abroad Photo Contest Rules and Guidelines
1. Any student who studied abroad on any approved study abroad program during the past academic year (Fall 2007, Spring 2008 and Summer I and II 2008) is eligible to participate in the contest.
2. Participants may submit up to TWO photographs in EACH CATEGORY with a submission form for each photo.
3. Photographs must be properly IDENTIFIED with the following information
- Name - Photos must be yours
- Phone/E-mail
- Category
- Location/Country and Program Name, and term attended
- Approximate date photo was taken
- Caption
- Description
4. Photographs must NOT be mounted in any way.
5. Digital photographs are encouraged and should be sent by attachment to
abroad@iupui.edu with at least 300dpi resolution and the required identification information for each photograph - use the submission form located on our website

6.Photographs should reflect the study abroad experience.
7. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:All entries must be submitted to the Study Abroad Office (ES 2129B) by 4pm on August 15, 2008.
8. Awards will be presented at the "Welcome Back" reception in September 2008.
NOTE: All submissions become the property of the IUPUI Study Abroad Office for use in any future publicity, publications, and/or fundraisers. Photos may also be used to promote Study Abroad on Facebook. Photos used in publications may include student’s name and program information. If you would prefer that your name not be used, please inform the Study Abroad office in writing at the time of submission. Photos that are submitted in printed form will be scanned and the originals will be returned to the owners upon written request. By submitting a photo in the photo contest you acknowledge understanding and agreement with the rules and conditions of the contest and subsequent use of your photos to promote study abroad.
