IUPUI GIVES KIDS CHANCE TO SEE BASKETBALL GAMES FOR FREE

Joining with the NCAA in the "Take a Kid to the Game" program, IUPUI's men's and women's basketball teams are offering children a special deal so they can watch basketball games for free.

Under the program, the teams will offer free tickets to children ages 14 and under with the purchase of an adult ticket to the games they will play February 3. In addition, children who show up at the gate with three Hershey's wrappers also will be admitted without charge.

IUPUI's women's team will play Oral Roberts at 5:15 p.m. and the men's team will battle Oral Roberts at 7:30 p.m. Both games are in the IUPUI Gymnasium in the Natatorium, 901 W. New York Street. Adult tickets may be purchased at the door for $5.

"Take a Kid to the Game" is a nationwide program that encourages adults to introduce children to NCAA women's and men's basketball. For more information, contact IUPUI Athletics at (317) 274-0622.
