INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI is again putting together Team IUPUI to help fight breast cancer.

The 2007 Komen Indianapolis Race for the Cure will take place on the University Library lawn on Saturday, April 21.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure® Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. With funds raised by the Komen Race for the Cure® Series, the Komen Foundation with its Affiliate Network is able to fund breast cancer research grants, meritorious awards and community outreach programs

The Race for the Cure is a premier event for the city of Indianapolis. Each year the event attracts more than 35,000 people to help fight breast cancer as well as raise awareness for prevention.

In 2006 Team Jaguars had over 950 members and was the largest team in the School/University/College category. IUPUI also raised more than $20,000 for Komen.
