Top 100 IUPUI Juniors and Seniors to be Recognized

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Alumni Council and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations will recognize the school's top 100 juniors and seniors during the 2007 IUPUI Outstanding Student Recognition Dinner, Friday, March 30 at the Indianapolis Marriott, 350 W. Maryland Street.

Students will be recognized for scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities on campus, and civic and community service. During the dinner, the top female student and the top male student will be announced, as well as the top 10 female and top 10 male students. A panel of alumni, faculty and staff select the top students based on nominations by faculty and staff.

D. Michael Young, vice president and chief intellectual property counsel for Roche Diagnostics Operations will be the keynote speaker. Young earned three degrees on the IUPUI campus: B.S. (1978) and M.S. (1984) from the Purdue School of Science; and J.D. (1987) from the IU School of Law.

The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., with dinner following at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for guests and complimentary for honored students. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by March 23. To make reservations, contact Kimberly Helton at (317) 274-8905 or kdhelton@iupui.edu.
