IUPUI Professor Pens Book about Regenerative Biology

INDIANAPOLIS – David Stocum, professor of biology, director of the Center for Biology and Medicine and former dean of the Purdue School of Science, has written a new book, Regenerative Biology and Medicine. The peer-reviewed text examines different facets of regenerative biology-from the developmental plasticity of adult stem cells to the regeneration of appendages. It provides an overview of basic and clinically-oriented research while addressing bioethical issues and challenges. Reviewers call the text "a landmark publication for regenerative medicine" and "a definitive foundation for researchers in the field." Academic Press/Elsevier released the textbook in November 2006.
