INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI United Way Campaign is off to a strong start.

More than $132,000 of the $360,000 goal has already been received. The campaign, which jumpstarted its efforts with Dunk the Deans and the United Way Day of Caring, will run through Oct. 18.

Upcoming opportunities to contribute to the United Way include the Jaguars Jamboree from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2006, in The Jungle. During the event, donations to the United Way will be collected.

Chartwells is also helping to raise funds by placing “Change for a Change” boxes at their checkout stands starting next week. These locations include the Union, University College , Cavanaugh Hall, Jag Connection at the Business School and the Sub Generation at Inlow Hall. Patrons are invited to drop their change into the boxes to help make a change in the community.
