Galli Appointed Faculty Fellow

INDIANAPOLIS – Uday Sukhatme, Executive Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculties, has announced the appointment of Dominique Galli, Associate Professor in the School of Dentistry, as a Faculty Fellow in the Office of Academic Affairs.

Galli brings a rich background of scholarly work and experience to this position. She has assembled and led a multidisciplinary research team of junior and senior faculty in the School of Dentistry, is currently the PI of a large NIH grant, and is President of the Indiana Branch of the American Society for Microbiology. Her linguistic background includes oral and written competence in English, German, and French.

Galli’s initial assignments include engaging colleagues across the campus to raise IUPUI’s research profile, particularly in the area of interdisciplinary research, and to organize a series of workshops for new chairs.

These Academic Affairs Faculty Fellow positions are half-time appointments for two years and are ideal for an individual who has interest in learning more about university-wide academic administration and policy issues. Applications for a second Academic Affairs Faculty Fellow are being reviewed.
