Indiana Collegiate Job Fair Takes Place April 7

INDIANAPOLIS – This year’s Indiana Collegiate Job Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, April 7, 2006, in the Sagamore Ballroom at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.

The job fair is open to juniors, seniors, alumni and graduate students of any two- or four-year university or college in the United States. A registration fee of $10 is required. Job seekers also are encouraged to bring a scannable resume to be included in a database sent to all employers attending the Indiana Collegiate Job Fair.

More than 100 employers from various occupational and industrial areas are currently registered to participate in the event. Among the many companies and organizations scheduled to recruit job candidates during the job fair are the CIA, HSBC, Enterprise-Rent-a-Car, Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, Reebok, Wal-Mart and Stryker Medical. Several non-profits and government agencies will also recruit during the fair.

Indiana University and Purdue University campuses statewide sponsor the annual event which is administered by the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Career Center.

A free shuttle will run continuously to/from the Convention Center and IUPUI from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the job fair.
