Faculty-Staff Campus Campaign Underway, Goal set at 1,100 DonorsINDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI's annual Faculty-Staff Campus Campaign is officially underway. The fund-raising drive kicked off Feb. 1, and runs through March 31. IUPUI Registrar Ingrid Toschlog, this year's campaign chair, said Campus Campaign enables employees to direct their contributions to areas of their own choosing. Even though the majority of employees give to the areas in which they work, the wide range of gift choices is something the employees appreciate. “There are more than 1,000 different campus accounts to which an employee can make a gift,” Toschlog said. “Since contributions don't go into one big pool, it's the individual schools, units, and programs that benefit.” Last year's Campus Campaign raised more than $250,000, with contributions from almost 1,000 IUPUI employees. Campaign Vice-Chair Meredith Hull, of the IU School of Medicine, said this year's campaign goal focuses on an increased number of participants rather than a specific dollar figure. The participant goal for faculty and staff has been set at 1,100, Hull said. Volunteer campaign coordinators will distribute gift forms and other campaign materials within the individual campus units. Additional information may be found at the Campus Campaign website: www.campuscampaign.iupui.edu. Toschlog said that while the dollars raised by the campaign are significant, participation by employees sends a strong message to prospective major donors to IUPUI. “The success of the Campus Campaign shows external donors that the IUPUI community believes strongly in the institution and its leadership. To a prospective donor, that's proof that their donation will be going to a campus that's strong and healthy.” |
