Time to Jam the Jaguars Bus to Help Needy

INDIANAPOLIS - Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to campus for Jam the Jaguars Bus on Tuesday, November 22.

IUPUI will supply 17 Indianapolis area organizations and churches with food this holiday season. Items such as canned fruits and vegetables; prepackaged cereal, coffee, rice or pasta; and personal hygiene items, such as toothpaste are needed. These items will be collected between noon and 1 p.m., Nov. 22, in the University College Courtyard - to Jam the Bus - from the floor on up!

In addition to Jam the Bus, there will other ways that you can help:

  • Donate a bag of non-perishable items at the IUPUI Bookstore from now until November 22 and receive a 15% discount off any one selected imprinted gift or apparel item (not valid with any other offer).
  • Participate in the Student Foundation's Turkey Toss November 15, 16, and 17 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at University College. $1 or a can of food buys you an opportunity to win great prizes.
  • Buy a seat on the bus by donating $50 to one of the benefiting charities. Mail donations to the IUPUI Community Outreach Office, 355 N. Lansing St., AO 136, Indianapolis, IN 46202.
