Smith to Serve as IU Foundation Vice President for Regional Campuses

INDIANAPOLIS - Jim Smith, who has been serving as the Interim Vice President for the IU Foundation's Indianapolis operation, has been named the Vice President for Regional Campuses.

Smith will be working with the chancellors of these campuses on fundraising strategies and planning and will oversee the delivery of the Foundation's centralized services to support their growing development programs.

"Jim Smith brings to the position of Vice President for Regional Campuses extensive experience, including his achievements at IUPUI. During his interim vice presidency at IUPUI, he showed the ability to quickly match academic needs with donor interest and foster the relationships necessary to maintain a successful development program," said IUPUI Chancellor Charles R. Bantz

William Heller, who has served most recently as Senior Development Director and Interim Director of Major Gifts at the Foundation, will assume the role of Vice President, Indianapolis. IUPUI has been transformed in recent years and continues to be a vital urban campus, in an area that is home to the greatest concentration of IU alumni and donors in the nation. ###
