Trudy Banta Inducted into the University of Kentucky Alumni Association Hall of Distinguished Alumni

INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI Vice Chancellor Trudy Webb Banta has been inducted into the University of Kentucky Alumni Association Hall of Distinguished Alumni.

The University of Kentucky Alumni Association Hall of Distinguished Alumni was established in 1965 in celebration of the university's centennial year. Every five years the University of Kentucky Alumni Association recognizes a select group of outstanding alumni and honors them with induction into the Hall of Distinguished Alumni. Less than one percent of UK alumni have received this honor.

Banta said the University of Kentucky has meant so much to her and her family.

"What a great place to start," Banta said during the induction ceremony.

Banta earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in education from the University of Kentucky in 1963 and 1965, respectively. She obtained a doctoral degree in educational psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. ###
