IUPUI to Co-Sponsor Urban Education Inquiry Conference

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Center for Urban & Multicultural Education, in partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools and the Indiana University School of Education, will co-sponsor a conference looking at issues facing those in urban education.

The Urban Education Inquiry Conference will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005, in Room 102 of the IUPUI Lecture Hall Building, 325 University Blvd.

Panel discussion topics include: "Urban Middle School Faculty and Perceptions of Place," Students' Contributions in Mathematics Classrooms," "Using Critical Literacy to Support All Children," and "Bringing All Children into a Literate Community."
