IUPUI to Host Bassmaster University 2005

INDIANAPOLIS - Six top professional fishermen will pass on bass fishing strategies gleaned from years of experience when IUPUI hosts the Bassmaster University on Saturday, Feb. 12 and Sunday, Feb. 13.

The Bassmaster University will take place at Beech Grove High School, 5330 Hornet Avenue in Beech Grove, Ind., located about 10 miles southeast of downtown Indianapolis.

Instructors for this event include: 2003 Bassmaster Classic Champion Mike Iaconelli; 2003 Great Outdoor Games Gold Medalists' Shaw Grigsby and Gary Klein; and 2004 BASS Angler of the Year Gerald Swindle.

Saturday's activities begin at 7 a.m. with on-site registration. Classroom instruction begins at 8 a.m. Sunday's activities begin at 8 a.m.

Classroom activities end each day at 3 p.m., although participants are invited to attend informal "THINK TANK" sessions with individual instructors from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

The enrollment fee for the two-day event is $109. When accompanied by a full-paying adult, spouses and children under age 16 can attend for $60.
