RADIOLOGIC SCIENCES GRADUATES IN DEMAND; PROGRAM TO HAVE CAREER BOOTH AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

INDIANAPOLIS -- It doesn't take an X-ray to reveal that the radiologic sciences program is producing graduates who are in great demand.

The program will have an information booth in the University College first floor lobby area on October 18 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Radiologic sciences offers an associate of science degree in radiography and bachelor of science degrees in medical imaging technology, nuclear medicine technology, and radiation therapy. Please stop by to talk to program faculty members and get literature on these exciting careers.

The current job market in all of these fields is excellent. The need far outstrips demand as indicated in a recent article in the Indianapolis Star (http://www.indystar.com/print/business/mon/articles/xray01.html). Salaries are rising and many employers are providing sign-on bonuses, moving expenses, etc. as incentives to hiring technologists.

The application deadline for most radiologic science programs is November 15 with classes starting at the end of June 2002. The radiation therapy programs deadline is December 1. Late applications will be accepted, but only if there are openings left in the class after all on-time applicants have been considered. We also encourage interested students to talk to us about setting up observation time in the hospitals to see these exciting fields in action.
