Backpack Attack Drive Begins to Collect School Supplies for Kids
IUPUI News Center, June 26, 2006 – The drive by 250 organizations to put basic school supplies in the hands of more than 25,000 children in Indianapolis is underway. IUPUI News Center, June 23, 2006 – School of Nursing (IUSON) announced that Rose M. Mays received a 2006 Hoosier Heritage Lifetime Achievement Award from the Heritage Place of Indianapolis, Inc. for her longtime community activism. Gerald Bepko, IUPUI chancellor emeritus, former winner and honorary chair of this year’s Hoosier Heritage Night presented Mays with this award.

Some Science Teachers Use DNA, Blood

Bequest “Pays it Forward” for Sam Masarachia
IUPUI News Center, June 22, 2006 – Back in 1999 Sam Masarachia honored the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI with a $1.2 million gift to endow a scholarship program. Today, a $1.5 million bequest from his estate means the Masarachia Scholars program will truly “pay it forward” for Sam Masarachia.
