Annual Spirit & Place Festival Begins Nov. 8

The eighth annual Spirit & Place Festival will run Saturday, Nov. 8 through Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Tickets are still available for the festival's Public Conversation which will take place at 4:30 p.m., Sunday Nov. 9 at Clowes Memorial Hall, 4600 Sunset Ave. Featured speakers are "Middle Passage" author Charles Johnson, Sojourners magazine editor Jim Wallis, and 1976 Nobel Peace Prize winner Betty Williams.

The event is free, however tickets, available at the Clowes box office, are required.

This year's theme for the festival is "Remembering & Reconciling." More than 90 workshops, exhibits, concerts and other events are scheduled across central Indiana as part of the annual event that focuses on the arts, humanities and religion.
