New Seats in the Jungle:
Jaguars fans who were at the Jungle to watch the IUPUI volleyball team take on in-state rival Ball State University earlier this month were among the first groups to experience a rumble in the jungle with new seats. The Jaguars posted their second-ever win over BSU, sweeping the Cardinals 3-0.

Black Studies Program Adds New Faculty, First Step in Expansion

IUPUI Makes History, Builds Unique Partnership in China
In March 2007, IUPUI signed a statement of intent to forge a comprehensive partnership with Sun Yat Sen University, ranked among the top 10 universities in China. In advancing the partnership, on September 1-11, Sun Yat Sen University welcomed a delegation of 14 faculty and staff from IUPUI.

IndyGo and IUPUI celebrate Red Line’s success, announce new S Pass
In a short period of time, IndyGo's Red Line Circulator has made a name for itself. More than 100,849 people have hopped on board, making it a hit among students, faculty, staff and campus visitors.
"The Red Line takes the guessing out of using public transportation by offering a convenient way to move around the IUPUI campus and downtown Indianapolis," said Gilbert Holmes, IndyGo President and CEO. "In August alone, we transported 16,178 people, the highest number to date for one of our circulator routes."

Kellum: Loved Every Minute of a Decades Long Career at IUPUI
Nick Kellum, Dean of the IU School of Physical Education and Tourism Management, will step down as dean on August 31, 2008, almost 39 years to the day of when he went to work for the university.
If he could do it a second time, Kellum said, he would seek a career in higher education - on purpose. The first time was an accident.
