Spider Sculpture on Exhibit in University Library Atrium
IUPUI University Library has a new sculpture on exhibit in its atrium.
This summer Herron art student Jessica Ann Burnside, under the supervision of Herron faculty Associate Professor Greg Hull, installed her winning sculpture entitled Threat Level Orange.

Whitehead Appointed Director of Curriculum Internationalization at IUPUI
The IUPUI Office of International Affairs has appointed Dawn Whitehead as director of curriculum internationalization.
Whitehead hit the ground running when she began her new appointment on August 1 - at 7:30 the next morning she was on a plane to Kenya to accompany School of Education faculty on a trip to Moi University, IUPUI's first international strategic partner.

First Scholars Complete Indiana University-HBCU STEM Summer Institute
Nine students from historically black colleges and universities participated in the first summer research program sponsored by the Indiana University -HBCU partnership established to increase the number of minorities in science careers.

Three Top-Line Animators Join Visionfest 2007
VisionFest 2007 - a juried computer animation contest and professional evaluation opportunity for high school and college students - has announced three additions to its roster of industry professionals participating in the event.
Conrad Montgomery of Walt Disney Television Animation, Rich McKain of Blue Sky Studios, and Dave Dorman, an independent artist, will join keynote speaker Rick O'Connor of Industrial Light and Magic-Lucasfilms, at VisionFest 2007, August 16-18, at the Indiana University School of Informatics on the campus of IUPUI. All speaker sessions will be in room IT 152 in the Informatics and Communication Technology Complex, and are free and open to the public.
