IU School of Medicine's Kenya Partnership Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize



 
A humanitarian response to the African HIV/AIDS pandemic by the IU School of Medicine and its education partner in Kenya, Moi University School of Medicine, has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

The program, AMPATH (Academic Model for Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS) was only a concept seven years ago. Through the efforts of its field director, Dr. Joseph Mamlin, and faculty involved in the IU-Kenya Partnership, AMPATH now treats 42,000 HIV-positive Kenyan patients at 19 clinical sites throughout western Kenya. It also provides food assistance to 20,000 people, and job and agricultural training to thousands more...

Tuition Hearing Campus Locations Announced, IUPUI Site Correction

A May 16 IUPUI press release incorrectly reported the location for the IUPUI teleconference of the May 21 public hearing on IU tuition rates. The correct teleconference site is the Education and Social Work Building, Room 2132.

Teleconference locations have been announced at all Indiana University campuses for the May 21 Indiana University Board of Trustees public hearing to hear student and public comment on proposed tuition and mandatory fee increases for the next two academic years.
