Traffic Alert: OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon

**NOTICE: New York Street at University Boulevard closes at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 5. No traffic will be allowed east from University Boulevard on New York Street after 6 p.m. TONIGHT.**

The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon will be held on Saturday, May 6. This marathon will involve approximately 35,000 participants and will greatly affect both traffic and parking on-campus.

Boyer Scholarship Program Applications Available

The Boyer Scholars Program involves faculty in conducting research and scholarly activity related to service learning and civic engagement. This year-long program, sponsored by the Center for Service and Learning, is designed for faculty with experience in teaching service learning courses. Boyer Scholars receive a $5,000 summer stipend.

Applications are available at http://csl.iupui.edu and should be submitted by May 5, 2006.

Seven IUPUI Students among 2006-07 Class of Cox Scholars

Seven IUPUI students are among the 21 Indiana University undergraduates who have been honored with selection as Cox Scholars for the 2006-07 academic year.

The Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship Fund is the largest merit-based scholarship program for working IU students who are Indiana residents. The renewable scholarship provides 75 percent of the estimated cost of attendance on the Bloomington and IUPUI campuses for students who have demonstrated high academic achievement and who are working to earn 25 percent of their college expenses.
