Nominations/Applications for 2006 Excellence in Diversity Awards
In honor of Joseph T. Taylor, the first dean of the IUPUI School of Liberal Arts, this is a call for nominations and applications for the sixth annual IUPUI Excellence in Diversity Awards. Chancellor Charles R. Bantz will confer the awards during the Joseph T. Taylor Symposium on February 22, 2006.

Governor Mitch Daniels Tours IT Hub
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels recently toured the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex on the IUPUI campus and met with some of Indiana University’s key information technology leaders, including Michael A. McRobbie, vice president for research and information technology and Craig Stewart, associate vice president of research and chief operating officer of Pervasive Technology Labs at Indiana University.
Topics discussed included how Indiana University’s leadership in information technology will impact the state, as it relates to research, new jobs, and the economy.

Herron Ceramics and More Sale Today
The Herron School of Art and Design welcomes the public for its Ceramics and More Sale today, December 9. Shoppers have the opportunity to purchase distinctive artwork designed by Herron faculty and students from the ceramics, printmaking and illustration departments.

Gold Humanism Honor Society Holds Inaugural Induction of Members
The inaugural induction ceremony for the Indiana University School of Medicine Chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS) was recently held at the Omni Severin Hotel. Forty members of the class of 2006 were recognized for being exemplars of integrity, clinical competence, compassionate care and community service.
