Memorial


IUPUI faculty, students and staff paid final tributes to Joseph T. Taylor, the first dean of the School of Liberal Arts, during a campus memorial celebration of Taylor's life held Oct. 23 at the University Place Conference Center Auditorium. Taylor died Sept. 23 after 30 years of service to Indiana University. Taylor's widow, Hertha (left) is shown with (left to right) Miriam Langsam, Pat Ryan, and IUPUI Chancellor Gerald Bepko prior to the memorial service.

Planting trees to restore White River bank

Trees planted as part of the Lilly ARBOR project will restore a kilometer-long strip of White River bank at the edge of IUPUI's campus to the way it looked nearly 200 years ago.

An art show at a local gallery featuring Herron School of Art student and faculty work will raise money to help Herron students travel overseas to study.
