WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM EARNS NATIONAL ACADEMIC RECOGNITION
Learning that the 2001-2002 IUPUI Women’s Basketball Team was named one of the top teams in the country academically, Chancellor Gerald L. Bepko said, “We expect much from our student athletes, but what we want most is for them to be students, first, and athletes, second. Our women’s basketball team has risen to the challenge, and we are very proud of this recognition for their achievements.”

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY CELEBRATES HERRON CENTENNIAL WITH EXHIBIT
The IUPUI University Library announces the exhibit "Herron School of Art at 100: A Century of Art Education in Indianapolis" on display in the Ruth Lilly Special Collections and Archives, through December 20, 2002. The exhibit is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The exhibit is free to the public.

The IUPUI University Library announces the arrival of the American Library Association's traveling exhibit "Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature" in Central Indiana. The University Library will augment the exhibit with a discovery series of lectures, films and discussions. The exhibit runs October 5 through December 16.
