This Dale Chihuly sculpture will stand over 18 feet tall in the Morris Mills Atrium of the Van Nuys Medical Science Building at the IU School of Medicine. More than a thousand balls of art glass cluster an armature of steel curved in a "twisted ladder" design symbolic of the DNA double helix. The completed work will be unveiled Sept. 30 in conjunction with the dedication of the Research II building. |
