Indiana, Indianapolis and IUPUI Leaders Break Ground City and state representatives joined IUPUI and IU officials for ground-breaking ceremonies at the site of the Indiana University Medical Information Sciences Building. WOW Arcade
From wild rides atop a mechanical bull or at the wheel of a video vehicle, to laser gunfights at a downtown night spot, Weeks of Welcome is bringing IUPUI students together for lots of fun, excitement and enlightenment. The annual back-to-campus celebration, sponsored by Campus & Community Life, continues next week with a Sept. 8 ice cream social and other events.

The second annual Weeks of Welcome (WOW) at IUPUI continues through Sept. 18 with an All-American line-up of baseball and ice cream, along with fairs scheduled to introduce new students to volunteer, work and social activities available on the campus.

New Director Named for Passport Program
Kathleen Lally is the new director of the IUPUI-Ivy Tech Office of Coordinated Programs, commonly known as the Passport program. Her responsibilities include working with faculty to develop transfer agreements, student advising, communications and facilitating joint student services.

Gov. Kernan to Deliver IUPUI Scholars Day Speech
Indiana Gov. Joe Kernan will deliver the keynote speech during the IUPUI Scholars Day program from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10 on the concrete patio under the Business/SPEA walkway (North Breezeway) on the IUPUI campus.
