IU Alumni Association members served up scoops of ice cream for 25 cents each and slices of cake at the same price during an ice cream social held August 2 on Monument Circle. The social highlighted the Indianapolis celebration of the association’s 150th anniversary.





A volunteer youth leader helps during craft time at the UAW Kids Kamp. Camp activities, taught by IUPUI Division of Labor Studies faculty, were designed to help children gain a better understanding of labor issues.

Ellett Receives $1.3 million Grant to Study Tube Placement Safety in Children
An Indiana University School of Nursing associate professor has been awarded a grant of $1.3 million from the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) to identify the safest insertion distance for a nasogastric tube in children. A nasogastric tube is a soft tube that is placed into the stomach through the nose to provide nutritional feeding or to remove contents from the stomach.
