IUPUI has donated the shelving to libraries at the American League headquarters in Indianapolis, Taylor University, and public libraries in Marion and Tipton counties. The Indianapolis Marion County Public Libraries (MCPL) system will install about 600 sections of the donated shelving in three libraries currently under construction or remodeling, said Robert Halter of Purchasing Services at IUPUI. Utilizing the surplus shelving will save MCPL an estimated $200,000 that the system can spent on other needs, Halter said.
