IUPUI TEAM COMPETES TO DEVELOP VEHICLE TO TRAVEL ON MOON
Four mechanical engineering students and two math students competed in the NASA Annual Moonbuggy Race this month in Huntsville, Alabama. The team, guided by mechanical engineering Professor Ramana Pidaparti, placed 11th out of 28 teams from universities nationwide. The students must develop a "moonbuggy" that when taken apart fits in a 64 cubic foot area and that must be able to safely navigate an obstacle course that replicates the moon's surface. Team members Keith Bandi and Anh-Thu Ngugen (above) travel the course.
