MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS COMPETE IN ANNUAL BRIDGE DESIGN COMPETITION AT IUPUI
More than 70 central Indiana middle school students put their bridge designs to the test at the seventh annual "Bridge Design Competition and Technology Expo" at the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology on Feb. 25. At the competition, students load their bridges with sand until they break. The winning bridges held the most sand in relation to their weight. This year some of the designs held more than 50 pounds.

JAGUARS TEAMS HEAD TO MID-CON CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY
IUPUI's men's and women's basketball teams begin their quest for a Mid-Continent Conference Championship this weekend in Fort Wayne. The women's team plays Southern Utah at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the men's team plays UMKC at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The winner of the tournament will represent the Mid-Continent Conference in the NCAA Tournament.

JUVENILE OFFENDER PROGRAM DEVELOPED BY IUPUI PROFESSOR RECEIVES $402,000 GRANT FROM CORRECTION DEPARTMENT
The Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Correction has turned to a program developed by an IUPUI professor, saying it should decrease the likelihood of relapse and offer young offenders the opportunity to successfully return to the community.
