Patient care safety expert Mary K. Wakefeld will be the featured speaker at the Third Annual Sonna Ehrlich Merk Distinguished Lectureship, Friday, February 28, 2003.
Wakefeld’s presentation, “Patient Safety in 2003 – Now It’s Everyone’s Business,” will explore how the health care industry has investigated new ways of preventing errors. Through creating a culture of safety, Wakefield said health care workers can anticipate a variety of scenarios and prevent errors by working as a team.
