PROFESSOR DIRECTS EFFORT THAT ENABLES PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO ACHIEVE HOME OWNERSHIP
IUPUI Education Associate Professor Pat Rogan is dedicated to helping people with disabilities function in society. Recently Rogan, the director of the Back Home in Indiana Alliance, a group who helps people with disabilities purchase their own homes, saw a long-time dream realized. Last month the Alliance received a $1 million award from Fannie Mae Home Choice to assist in their efforts. At a news conference at the statehouse last month, Lieutenant Governor Joe Kernan announced the award and offered his support. "This initiative will make it possible for even more people with disabilities to realize the dream of owning their own home," said Lt. Gov. Kernan "It is a direct result of our state's commitment to homeownership and our desire to help Hoosiers live independently."
