IUPUI WOMAN TO REPRESENT CAMPUS AS 500 FESTIVAL PRINCESS
Senior Melissa Dilley will don a tiara as one of this year's 500 Festival Princesses. Dilley, 22, is an elementary education major from Plainfield. The princesses act as ambassadors for Indiana by attending 500 Festival events including the annual parade. One woman will be selected as 500 Festival Queen during Indianapolis 500 Opening Day Ceremonies.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR STAFF AT IUPUI
IUPUI staff can find out ways to continue their education on campus and take advantage of employee benefits for which they may qualify during two, hour-long sessions on Feb. 28.

IUPUI ATHLETES EARN CONFERENCE ACADEMIC HONORS
The Mid-Continent Conference Office announced the Fall Academic All-Conference Team on Wednesday, January 23, including 21 athletes from IUPUI. The conference recognized a total of 195 student-athletes throughout the Mid-Con in men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball for their academic achievement during the fall semester.

On September 11, Americans turned to television to verify information on the street that a plane had crashed into a tower of New York City’s World Trade Center. And there, in one long, unfathomable moment, another plane approached and then crashed into the second tower.
