A Meditation of Fire: The Art of James C. Watkins is running through April 18 at the Eiteljorg Museum. This exhibition features 29 of the most extraordinary pieces of ceramics ever exhibited in one room at the Eiteljorg. The show is being held in conjunction with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts which Watkins will attend. Watkins is shown in his studio. Krauss Appointed Director of IUPUI Center for Urban Policy and the Environment
John L. Krauss, clinical professor at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) and adjunct professor at the IU School of Law-Indianapolis, has been named director of the IUPUI Center for Urban Policy and the Environment. Artist Charles Gick's "Drought Table" will contribute to the earthly element in "Earth, Air, Fire & Water" at the iMOCA exhibit in the Herron Gallery. To create the effect, Gick poured mud over a heavy table and let it set over several days to develop cracks. His and other artists' work will be on exhibit Jan. 23 - Feb. 21.
