The June 2 edition of the Indianapolis Star will include the Continuing Studies Summer 2002 Catalog as an insert. Fun Summer Activities at Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis
Looking for fun summer activities for girls ages 6-14? Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis will offer a variety of sports, science, and math programs at its Fountain Square center, located at 1125 South Spruce Street, from June 17 through August 9.
Girls Incorporated is dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold! Summer programs are provided in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. Activities include swimming, art, gardening, karate, golf, basketball, gymnastics, science, math, field trips, and more.
Don't wait until school is out and summer is here! Girls are encouraged to bring a friend and check out the after school program at Girls Incorporated in Fountain Square. First-time visitors will enjoy one free afternoon of programs and activities. Girls Incorporated is open each day after school until 7 p.m.
Summer hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., although earlier morning hours and extended afternoon hours are available upon request. Sliding fee scales are available with income verification. Fees must be pre-paid on a weekly basis to reserve each child's space.

National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice Meeting
The Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (http://www.nabcj.org) will hold a statewide meeting on Thursday, June 6 from 4-6 p.m. at the Indianapolis Police Department East District Office, 3120 E. 30th St. There will be a reception with food for networking from 4-4:30 p.m. Valerie Parker of the Indiana Parole Board will serve as the guest speaker. Osteoporosis Research Study
IU Medical Center is looking for biological brother pairs ages 20 - 60 and biological sister pairs ages 20 - 45 to participate in a research study to evaluate the genetic link to osteoporosis. A one-time visit lasting four hours will include: a free bone density measurement, a free cholesterol screening, and a free blood pressure check. Volunteer pairs must be healthy and have the same parents. Successful applicants will receive $70 each as compensation for a completed visit.
