Dental School Implements New Web Site

INDIANAPOLIS - Visitors to the new School of Dentistry Web site will find easier navigation and more information.

The site also includes a unique feature called "Send a Friend" that allows users to send a web page through e-mail to someone that may be interested in the information.

The school's technology support group collaborated with faculty and staff from the school's many departments to build the site.

"As technology becomes more ubiquitous, and is seen as a critical tool for everyone and not just those working directly in a technology-related field, it makes sense that the entire development process, from planning to implementation, should allow these users to play a key administrative role," said John Gosney, director of technology services for the school. "In essence, our new Web site is a reflection of the work of many different individuals from every department in the school, and I'm very proud of that."

The site's emphasis is on promoting the education, patient care, research and other services the school provides to the local, state and global communities.
