STUDENT LIFE AND DIVERSITY, IN PARTNERSHIP
WITH UNIVERSITY OF INDIANAPOLIS OFFERS FREE TICKETS TO MUSICAL FOR CHILDREN
INDIANAPOLIS - Does your campus club provide tutoring at a local school? Has your office at IUPUI adopted a classroom or sponsored an activity at the nearest YMCA? Or does your campus organization have another type of community partnership that serves children?
If so, Student Life and Diversity Programs has a great opportunity for you to treat children in your community partnership groups to a special musical production.
In partnership with the University of Indianapolis, Student Life is giving away free tickets for two performances of "Broadway Kids Sing Broadway" on Thursday, March 23 at the Christel DeHann Fine Arts Theater on the campus of the University of Indianapolis. Show times are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The musical features child actors who have appeared in Broadway productions. Included among the multi-ethnic cast of "Broadway Kids" are Andrea Bowen, who appeared as Young Cosette in "Les Miserables," Tavia Jefferson who performed as Grace Smythe opposite Hal Linden and Roddy McDowell in "A Christmas Carol," and Gemini Quintos whose Broadway credits include the role of Kate in "Annie" and one of the Munchkins in "The Wizard of Oz."
Student Life will distribute 150 free tickets for each performance on a first-come, first-served basis. Campus organizations can pick up tickets and then donate them to their community partners to that community children can attend the musical.
For tickets, call 278-2161.
