The 2008 IUPUI Day of Caring is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26 at White River State Park.
During the Day of Caring, teams of IUPUI students, faculty, staff and guests volunteer at nonprofits across the Indianapolis community. This year, the entire group of about 400 IUPUI volunteers will serve at White River State Park, helping to beautify the river right in our back yard!
Volunteers will receive a snack for breakfast, lunch and a Team Jaguars T-Shirt. In 2006, IUPUI moved the Day of Caring to a Friday to better accommodate faculty and staff team involvement. Faculty and staff are urged to consider putting together a team of co-workers and colleagues to spend a Friday volunteering.
Teams and individuals can register online: http://life.iupui.edu/ccl/volunteer/doc.html. Team leaders should gather group member names and emails before registering.
